This is a poem that I wrote with a dear friend of mine. Frank and I met in Alaska last year and it feels as though we have known each other for years. He is an accomplished poet, hard worker, and a true inspiration. I had never wrote poetry before but listening to his poems in the evenings was soothing to my soul. All my stress would melt away and for a few moments in time I was taken to a place of stillness and tranquility. I feel very honored and blessed to have met him and I want to thank him for helping me with this poem. The original poem was written by me but Frank came in and worked his magic and turned it into something much better. Though our roads have parted ways for now, wherever you may be today Frank, thank you friend for your friendship and sharing a bit of your artistry with me!
I Am Lord
Where else in this World,
would I get to see,
Natures Beauties such as these
Assembled all, within my view,
Of Rolling white capped Sea’s,
Magnificent Giant and Ancient trees,
Distant Snow capped Mountains,
All the way to the Heavens reach,
Etched deeply within my eyes and soul
Such splendor I now behold,
God, himself has blessed me,
His creations all, just as he foretold.
It’s not often one like me,
Is fortunate enough to see,
The Wildest of this Alaskan scene,
All the way from the Arctic Coast,
By Dog sled by Boat by Seaplane,
Traveling thousands of miles
Over Land and Seas,
To Alaska’s most Southeasterly shores,
Where Humpback Whales,Orcas, Sea Lions,
Feed and play, all day, by the score,
It is here in moments and times like this,
Where Deep within my soul,
I hear you quietly speak to me,
I am Lord!

The best thing about traveling is meeting amazing, life-changing people like Frank. And the hardest part of the job is leaving them……
